    Learning outcomes of the course
    Student is familiar with multidisciplinary information base of bioeconomy. Student understands the bioeconomy as part of a global world economy, its different sectors and operating environment. Student knows the development trends, the most important national and international strategic policies and drivers of bioeconomy. Student recognizes steering mechanisms relating to the products and services of own subject field and knows central regulation in bioeconomy.

    Assessment criteria - grade 1 and 2
    Adequate learner (1)
    The student:
    - Is familiar with some sectors and basic information in bioeconomy
    - knows some key drivers and trends in bioeconomy sector

    Satisfactory learner (2)
    In addition to the above the student:
    - Manages a number of key bioeconomy strategies and knows their backgrounds
    - Knows the features of operational environment of bioeconomy and some of the key steering mechanisms of bioeconomy
    Assessment criteria - grade 3 and 4
    Good learner (3)
    In addition to the above the student:
    - Is familiar with the key strategies for the bioeconomy broadly and is able to assess their importance and limitations
    - Knows a number of key steering mechanisms in bioeconomy

    Very good learner (4)
    In addition to the above the student:
    - Masters the main bioeconomy strategies widely and is able to assess their importance and limitations
    - Is able to evaluate the significance, opportunities and constraints of steering mechanisms in bioeconomy
    Assessment criteria - grade 5
    Excellent learner (5)
    In addition to the above the student:
    - Is able to apply and take advantage of a number of bioeconomy sector drivers and streering mechanisms as part of his/her professional expertise in a critical and innovative way
