Objective

The purpose of the course is to increase knowledge and expertize of digitalization in social services and health care.

After the course you will recognize the effects and potentialities of digitalization in your own field of expertise. You will get transferable skills to utilize digital methods and to reflect critically and openly to introduce digital methods in the social services and health care sector.

– Digitalization and related, current effects in the social services and health care sector
– Digital methods and the attitudes and competences related to their deployment.
– Kybersecurity, nformation security and privacy protection in digital services in social services and health care sector

There is no exam. The renewal of coursework is done in accordance with the examination regulations.

Completion alternatives

The course can be completed flexibly. Participation in webinars is voluntary. For all webinars, a lecture recording is available as an option. The course portfolio can be worked on either alone or with a partner.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The general criteria of the competences that the Master's Degrees awarded by Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences provide can be found on JAMK's web pages (Competence Assessment | Jamk). The learning outcomes of individual courses are assessed in relation to the objectives of the course concerned. Assessment is based on knowledge, skills and competence in accordance with the National and European Qualifications Framework (NQF/EQF), level 7.

For the passed performance you master the key concepts related to digitalisation.You recognize the effects and potentialities of digitaliaztion in your own field of expertise and you are capable of reflecting them based on evidence in a variety of ways. You possess the capability to reflect the idea of deploying digital methods and you are able to critically assess their deployment in the social services and health care sector.
