Objective

The purpose of the course
In this course you will familiarize yourself with the basics of acute nursing. You will acquire the skills to care for an acutely ill patient, utilizing evidence-based information in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing.

Learning objectives of the study course:

You recognize the condition of an acutely ill patient and know how to plan and evaluate care in a patient-safe manner at different stages of the care path using evidence-based nursing methods.
You have basic knowledge of safe pain management, drug and fluid therapy and documentation.
You have basic knowledge of the most important care technology devices and scroll testing.
You recognize the key interaction and communication methods of acute nursing and understand the importance of multi-professionalism.
You know how to apply acute nursing care methods and creative problem solving in a simulation situations.
You know how to communicate in a multi-professional team.

Content

Legislation governing acute nursing, operating models and basic concepts, acute nursing process and different environments, collaborators and care path, working in a multiprofessional team, care technology, scroll tests, drug therapy, fluid therapy, acute pain management, documentation and communication skills.

Qualifications

You manage health promotion, key counseling methods and medical nursing, as well as mental health, substance abuse, and crisis nursing. You know the basics of evidence-based nursing and decision-making. You master the contents of anatomy and physiology, as well as the areas of pharmacology and medicine, which are related to the above nursing studies

You recognize the importance of evidence-based knowledge in acute nursing in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care. You know safe nursing methods in the different phases of acute patient care. You can describe the principles of safe drug and fluid therapy for an acute patient. You can name the main care technology devices. You will recognize the methods used in the management of acute patients.

Satisfactory 2

You understand the importance of evidence-based knowledge in acute nursing in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care. You know safe nursing methods at different stages of the acute patient's care path. You understand the principles of safe drug and fluid treatment of an acute patient. You know the most important care technology equipment. You are familiar with the methods used in the management of acute patients.
