Elementary teaching of playing instruments and making music together in the different groups.

Primary teaching materials of playing instruments and music theory.

Qualifications
Opiskelija on perehtynyt musiikkikasvatuksen perustekijöihin, varhaisiän musiikkikasvatuksen lähtökohtiin, sisältöihin, työtapoihin ja tavoitteisiin. Hän ymmärtää yleisen ja musiikillisen kehityksen merkityksen musiikkitoiminnan suunnittelun ja toteuttamisen perustana. Opiskelija osaa käyttää, soveltaa ja kehittää eri työtapoja ja menetelmiä suunnitellessaan ja toteuttaessaan musiikkitoimintaa. Hän ymmärtää opetussuunnitelmien merkityksen opetuksen perustana.

On Mondays at 14.30 o´clock

Teaching methods
You will participate in lessons including teaching instrument in the group, demonstrations and workshops. You will learn the basic skills how to play 5-strings kantele, Orff-instruments and ukulele with your children groups. You will practice group guidance in your student group, You will work independently with other students in a small group, making a mini-project for families with children for example in art museum or kindergarten.
You will learn about early childhood music education and the work of a music teacher by following groups of children whose are playing an instrument.
The materials and assignments of the course are in an e-learning environment, where you also return all the tasks you have done.
Practical training and working life connections
You observe the lessons in a place of your choice, for example in Gradia, the music groups of parish or private music schools.
The mini-project is implemented in a nearby place, eg in kindergartens, an art museum
