The course is based on the design of a logistics centre in groups. The course includes implementation for day students and implementation for distance learning students. The course is conducted in Finnish. The first assignment of the course must be returned within three weeks of the start of the course. Non-returners will be removed from the course.

The course is primarily an online course for distance learning students, which does not involve any contact lessons, but you will receive help and feedback from the teacher. The first assignment of the course must be done within three weeks of the first few days. Those who fail to complete the assignment will be removed from the course.

Objectives
Purpose
Do you know how to plan logistics center or extension to current one? Which kind of things you have to decide and take into account? Intralogistics planning course gives answers to these questions. You learn to think planning from persons, money, functions and safety point of view.

Learning outcome
By completing this course, you will understand how to do calculations and analysis of the planning. You will also know how to do layout planning and choose reasonable technologies and estimate needed amount of personnel. You can also do cost calculations of the planning project and take issues relating to planning, e.g. sustainability and safety, into account.

Student workload
One credit corresponds to an average of 27 hours of work, which means that the load of five credits is approximately 135 hours. The load is distributed in different ways depending on the course implementation.
