Objective

Purpose of the course
Industrial investment, expansion of production and relocation of new facilities are just few example where you need project logistics expertise. Project is a wide network of players combined with dynamic operating environment with a tight schedule. Project logistics course combines the project planning phase, material flow management, utilization of specialized transportation, lifting services and other project-supporting performance areas into one efficient entity. In this course you will learn the basics of project management and carry out your own specific project where you already utilize your previous logistical skills and learn the basics of project management.

This course develops and assesses the following know-how: transportation skills, engineering practice, multidisciplinary competences, communication and team working

Objectives

Purpose of the course
Industrial investment, expansion of production and relocation of new facilities are just few example where you need project logistics expertise. Project is a wide network of players combined with dynamic operating environment with a tight schedule. Project logistics course combines the project planning phase, material flow management, utilization of specialized transportation, lifting services and other project-supporting performance areas into one efficient entity. In this course you will learn the basics of project management and carry out your own specific project where you already utilize your previous logistical skills and learn the basics of project management.

Competences:
This course develops and assesses the following know-how: transportation skills, engineering practice, multidisciplinary competences, communication and team working

Learning outcomes:
You will learn the basics of project planning, understand requirements what successful project demands for logistics and understand the importance of specialty transportation, lifting services, and other project-supporting transportation as part of the whole project. You will learn and understand the importance of communication and information accuracy as part of a successful project.

This course includes lectures and learning assignments and project work. Some of the assignment are done as independent work, some during contact teaching.
