Objectives

The purpose of the course
In this course, you will apply your theoretical knowledge of nursing theory lessons and family nursing orientative practice to practical training.

After completing this course, you are able to consider the effects of the child's developmental stages on the nursing that is being performed.
You recognize the individual needs of the child and other members of the family and apply evidence-based information guided care as you practice nursing, taking into account the principles of equality and uniformity.
You are able to work under guidance in a shared understanding with the family at different stages of the nursing process.
You are able to recognize the importance of patient safety in relation to the particularities of children and adolescent.
You implement child's medication safely under guidance.
You use digital methods in nursing children and adolescents.

Practical training in nursing for children and adolescents in accordance with the objectives outlined above.

Practical training and working life connections

Practice in child and adolecent nursing units.

International connections

Practice training can be completed in exchange abroad.

Practice training 150 hours and assignment 12 hours.

You demonstrate your ability to take into account the child's developmental stages and their impact on the nursing that is being performed.
You demonstrate that you recognize the individual needs of the child and other family members for care and that you demonstrate the ability to apply evidence-based information to your nursing practice, taking into account the principles of equality and uniformity.
You demonstrate your ability to work under guidance through shared understanding with the family during different stages of the nursing process.
You demonstrate your understanding of the importance of patient safety in relation to the specificities of pediatrics.
You demonstrate the ability to implement, monitor, and evaluate safe pediatric medication under guidance.
You demonstrate your ability to use digital methods in nursing children and adolescents.

Prerequisites

The student masters the contents of anatomy and physiology as well as pharmacology and medicine related to the above mentioned nursing studies.
The student masters the methods of health promotion, internal medicine, mental health, substance abuse and crisis management.
The student knows the basics of evidence-based decision making.
Students master the basics of maternity and nursing.
Students master the basics of nursing children and adolescents.
