Contact day in Zoom, interactive learning tasks, independent work including information retrieval.

The course is divided into two parts: 3 credits for the module and a 2-credit selection exam. The 2 credits can be substituted by passing the admission exam. If the admission exam has not been taken, a compensatory task must be completed.

Study methods
Research-based development is an online course on Moodle learning environment. On Moodle you will find course instructions, schedules, assignments and all study materials. You will also attend Zoom webinars once a month. In webinars, you reflect and share what you have learned communally with your student peers.
You will conduct independent information gathering and apply what you have learned in learning assignments.
Guidance
You will receive guidance on Moodle learning environment (e.g. question and answer forum) and webinars. You will also receive guidance from your student peers.
Feedback

Blended learning: You will combine face-to-face learning in the classroom with independent study. Face-to-face learning happens in the classroom with lectures, tutoring for the extended research plan assignment, and group work. Study methods
Research-based development is an online course. You study in the Moodle learning environment. In Moodle you will find course instructions, schedules, assignments and study materials. You will also attend webinars. In webinars, you reflect and share what you have learned communally with your peer students.
You will conduct independent information gathering and apply what you have learned in learning assignments to the Exploratory Development learning diary.
During the first three weeks of the study period, each student does an orientation assignment, which confirms your attendance at the study course.
Guidance
You will receive guidance in the Moodle learning environment (e.g. question and answer forum) and webinars. You will also receive guidance from your peer students.
Feedback
You will receive both qualitative and quantitative evaluation and feedback on your Learning Day book learning assignment.
You give feedback on the course (mid-term and final feedback on the implementation).

Your student group forms a working life-oriented peer learning network.

Content scheduling
The course is entirely conducted online and consists of two modules.
The Moodle workspace opens on August 26, 2024. Introducing yourself in the Moodle workspace serves as confirmation of your participation in the course. Introduction should be done within the first two weeks of the course, by September 8, 2024.
Module 1: Self-study and online exam, worth 2 credits.
Module 2: 3 webinars and learning tasks (essays, peer review of essays, e-poster, and self-assessment), worth 3 credits.
For each webinar, there are two different options; students participate in either one.
1. Webinar: Wednesday, September 11th or Friday, September 13th, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
2. Webinar: Wednesday, October 23rd or Friday, October 25th, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
3. Webinar: Wednesday, November 27th or Friday, November 29th, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Evaluation criteria, pass/failed
You are able to compare the differences and similarities between research-based development and academic research. You are able to analyse development processes and methods suitable for your development topic, and reflect on and assess their suitability with the help of literature. You understand the significance of research ethics in research-based development. You can develop a topic proposal for your thesis.
