Objective

The students know the basic principles of learning and interchange in teaching situations. They are well acquainted with teaching and the work of a music pedagogue. They have acquired a large picture of the Finnish music school system and its history.

The students can communicate clearly and fluently by word and in writing. They are able to benefit from IT techniques in ways suitable to their purposes. They are able to do work group and to strive for group goal achievement. The students have initiative and the courage to net out.

The music education system in Finland
The work of a music pedagogue (among others, early music education, basic training in arts, free civilizing work, II level, basic exam in music field)

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Pass (S):
The students show activity and initiative in contact teaching and cooperative work. They participate in the course's projects and group work responsibly so that their contribution have a positive influence on work's success.
The student show by word and in written their assimilation of the course's learning materials. They give evidence of acquaintance with the work of a music pedagogue in work life. They show in their project and group work understanding of the principles of music learning and interchange in teaching situations, as well as having knowledge of the Finnish music education history and school system.

The students show clearly and fluently to have followed the written JAMK report rules in their written work. They know how to benefit from IT in their preparation and reporting.
