Objective
The students have an understanding of the requirements of team leadership, client work counselling and how to lead client processes in different ways provided services in social welfare and early education. The students have the basic skills to operate in different areas of the leadership, particularly the management and development of client work. Students will become familiar with the tasks of the leadership and has experiments of practice. The students are able to evaluate her own competence and development needs.
Content
Supervised practice in team leadership, where the student becomes get to know with the aspects:
• managing client processes and carrying out a basic task
• Perceiving the “annual clock” of the unit's team leadership work
• pedagogical management of educational work / management of rehabilitative supervision work
• human resource management
• developing staff skills and coping at work
• quality assurance and service development
• the process of planning and preparing the action plan and self-monitoring plan and the budget
• digitization and the use of technology in management
• cooperation with various actors (networks and stakeholders)
Qualifications
The students know how to counsel and support different clients in their everyday life, on the different levels of their growth, development and learning and in their changing situations of life. The students know the services supporting welfare and social security.
The students know the central leadership models of team leadership as well as the starting points of customer work guidance and work community know-how and related self-assessment.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Pass (S)
- The course will be assessed in the final discussion session
- Supervised practice is passed after the student has achieved the adequate competence as instructed in learning objectives
- The course is failed when the learning objectives and/or the training report are not approved.
