Teaching methods

The course will be conducted as contact studying at Jamk’s campuses. There will be lectures where students learn the basic theory of animation, as well as practical exercises that put the theory into action. Students will explore the creation of 2D animations and game art using Adobe Animate, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

During the course, students will practice applying the 12 principles of animation and explore different animation techniques that can be used for various 2D game art styles. All tasks can be completed with a mouse, so no drawing tablet is required. There will be no exam; instead, assessment is based on the animation exercises completed during the course, which can be included in the student’s professional portfolio.
