Objective

Music History 2:
You know and recognise the basic styles, tendencies and personalities of Western art music from 19th Century to the beginning of 21st Century.

Music Analysis 2:
You know and recognise the basic compositions and their formal structures from Romanticism to 21st Century in Music. You know their backgrounds and can explain the structure with analytical terms.

Solfege 2:
You know the styles and different periods from Classicism to the beginning of 21st Century in Music, both written and listened. You also can perform them by singing.

In this course you learn musical phenomenas by analysing, recognising, writing down and you can write down the music you hear. You also learn how to use a tool for distant learning.

Music History 2:
The phenomena of Western Music as part of the historic and cultural changes from19th Century to the beginning of 21st Century. Musical features, composers and central forms of Music.

Music Analysis 2:

Compositional forms of Western Music form Romanticism to 21st Century styles. Divided into two parts: a) Analysis of works from Romantic period, b) Analysis of 20th to 21st Century music.

Solfege 2:
Musical time frame mostly from Classicism to Romanticism.

You know some musical periods from Music History and you are able to name some composers. You know some terminology in Music History.
2:
You are able to identify the main periods of Music History. You are able to name the main composers and you know some special terminology associated with Music History.

Music Analysis:
1:
You know some of the style period compositions. You have the basic knowledge of how to analyse the main compositions of a musical style period.
2:
You have the basic knowledge of analysis. You can figure out the structural sections in a composition by reading the score. You know the main composition forms in a style period and you know the differences between them.

Solfege:
1:
You know some of the basic things in solfege, but you have problems in many areas.
2:
You know the main things in solfeggi, but some individual parts are challenging.

In addition to musical style periods, you can name the main techniques and terminology. You know the basic works of Music History also by listening.

Besides the Good (3) knowledge you know the main composers and their backgrounds and also the time frame in History that they are associated.
