Objective

The purpose of the course is to provide you with a theoretical base for planning your own teaching.
You will become familiar with various concepts of learning and pedagogical points of departure throughout the course. You will use these to develop your own theory-in-use for teaching.
You will also become familiar with curricula in your field and use them as a starting point for planning and delivering teaching.
In addition, you will familiarise yourself with different digital environments and use them to complete learning assignments.

Teaching methods

The purpose of the course is for you to get theoretical justifications for planning your own teaching.
In the course, you will get to know different concepts of learning and pedagogical starting points. You start to build your own teaching work theory based on them.
You will also familiarize yourself with the curricula of your own field and use them as a starting point for planning and implementing the teaching.
In addition, you get to know different digital environments and use them to do learning tasks.

Human perception, information perception, different perceptions of learning as the basis of the teacher's theory of use.
Competence-based curriculum starting points and curriculum work
Basics of the degree and competency-based curriculum
Curricula in basic art education.
Competence-based planning of teaching units.

The student controls the basic concepts related to learning concepts and is able to describe his own concept of learning.

The student knows the curricula of his field and recognizes the importance of learning concepts in the background of curricula and teaching.

The student works responsibly and cooperatively during the study period and uses digital tools in his studies.

The prerequisite for participating in the Learning and curricula course is the completion of the Teaching as a profession course.

Teaching methods

Opintojakson tarkoituksena on, että saat teoreettisia perusteluja oman opetuksesi suunnitteluun.
Opintojaksolla tutustut erilaisiin oppimiskäsityksiin ja pedagogisiin lähtökohtiin. Ryhdyt rakentamaan omaa opetustyön käyttöteoriaasi niiden pohjalta.
Tutustut myös oman alan opetussuunnitelmiin ja käytät niitä opetuksen suunnittelun ja toteutuksen lähtökohtana.
Lisäksi tutustut erilaisiin digitaalisiin ympäristöihin ja käytät niitä oppimistehtävien tekemisessä.
