Purpose of the course

After studying this course, you will be able to choose suitable machine tools that can be used to implement the production objectives of an agricultural company. You will also be able to observe in practical conditions the quantities that are essential for field farming and livestock management and to identify distractions.

Biommass processing technologies using animals
Measurement technology related to biomass-growing and refining under field conditions

This is an independently advancing online course (open AMK). Studying is based on an independent learning from materials (text and video materials) and performing given tasks. This course is nonstop-course, meaning that you can star your studies anytime you wish and starting moment determines the length of your course.

This is a voluntary part of Young Farmer's Studies- package.

Exam dates and retake possibilities

No course exam. The course will be completed with assignments and portfolio about farm machinery.

The course or part of it can be completed on the basis of previous competence or by studying in working life.

Student workload

The course covers 135 hours of student work.

Further information for students

The grade of the course is determined by continuous assessment meaning that the assignments to be returned are evaluated and part of the final grade. All of the assigments have to be submitted. The biggest assignment is the portfolio about farm machinery. Grading is pass/fail in this course.

The course includes a study trip (tentatively at the beginning of October) and getting familiar with business within the theme.
