The student recognises key work ability risks and understand the significance of maintaining, assessing and promoting work ability. The student is able to select methods to support employment and work ability. The student can guide and coordinate different work ability processes and is able to operate in different networks. The student is able to develop the promotion of employment and work ability on different connecting surfaces.
The course is evaluated as pass/fail. Approved completion requires active participation in teaching and group work and the successful completion of each learning assignment according to the instructions.

The reforming services for employment and work ability (5 cr) and the Comprehensive approach to employment and work ability (5 cr) courses form a study module of a work ability coordinator. The study module is offered in the Open University of Applied Sciences and it is suitable for persons working in occupational health care, social and health care centres, employment services, educational institutions or HR tasks.
The study module is suitable for degree students whose career goal is to work with working-age people and to help them find employment, return to work and continue at work despite various limitations.
The studies are implemented as online studies. Participation in contact learning is essential.

Teaching methods
Opintojakson alussa kokeilet työkyvyn arvioinnissa käytettävää menetelmää. Hyödynnät Työterveyslaitoksen kehittämään itsearviointivälinettä oman osaamisesi arvioinnissa ja asetat itsellesi omat henkilökohtaiset oppimistavoitteet. Voit halutessasi hyödyntää ohjausta tavoitteiden asettamisessa ja arvioinnissa.
Oppimispäiväkirjan avulla syvennät käsitystäsi opiskeltavasta aihealueesta, harjaannut reflektiivisessä ajattelussa ja laajennat aiemmalla opintojaksolla rakentamaasi tietopohjaa. Toteutat opintojakson aikana itsenäisen tehtävän, jossa pohdit keinoja asiakaslähtöisyyden ja monialaisen yhteistyön vahvistamiseen.
Valmistaudut webinaareihin ennakkotehtävien avulla. Ennakkotehtäviä liittyy jokaiseen 4 webinaariin useampia. Webinaareissa paneudutaan kestävien kuntoutus- ja työllistymisratkaisujen luomiseen, monialaiseen palveluntarpeeseen vastaamiseen ja työkyvyn tuen eri muotoihin. Webinaareissa painopiste on vuorovaikutteisissa osuuksissa.
Opintojaksolla hyödynnetään yhteistoiminnallisen oppimisen elementtejä, joissa korostuvat avoin ja monipuolinen vuorovaikutus, vastuu omasta sekä toisten oppimisesta, tiedon jakaminen sekä oppimisen reflektointi. Keskusteluissa pyritään dialogiin ja jokaisen osallistujan äänen esille saamiseen. Pääset harjoittelemaan työelämän vuorovaikutustaitoja ohjatusti ja yhdessä oppien. Sinulla on mahdollisuus esittää kysymyksiä opintojakson teemoista milloin tahansa ja voit saada niihin useita eri näkökulmia sisältäviä vastauksia.
Practical training and working life connections
Itsenäinen tehtävä on mahdollista toteuttaa omassa työssä tai harjoittelussa, mikäli se liittyy keskeisesti työllistymisen työkyvyn tuen palveluihin.
Opintojaksolla pääset kuulemaan työkyvyn tuen palvelujen parissa toimivien asiantuntijoiden näkökulmia. Valmistaudut vierailuihin tutustumalla heidän edustamiinsa palveluihin. Pohdit etukäteen oppimistavoitteitasi edistäviä kysymyksiä vieraalle.

Opintojakson arvioitavat tehtävät (oppimispäiväkirja ja itsenäinen tehtävä) on suunniteltu toteutettaviksi tasaisesti koko opintojakson ajan. Tehtävät palautetaan opintojakson lopulla. Tarvittaessa tehtäviä on mahdollista täydentää uusintakerroilla, näiden tarkemmat päivämäärät löydät moodle-työtilasta.

Content scheduling
Opintojakso koostuu neljästä neljän tunnin webinaarista, jotka toteutuvat noin muutaman viikon välein. Jokaista webinaaria ennen teet 3 ennakkotehtävää ja jokaisen webinaarin jälkeen kirjoitat yhden osan oppimispäiväkirjasta.
Näet heti opintojakson alkaessa moodlesta tarkemmat ohjeet ennakkotehtäviin, oppimispäiväkirjaan sekä henkilökohtaisten oppimistavoitteiden asettamiseen.

The student recognises key work ability risks and understand the significance of maintaining, assessing and promoting work ability. The student is able to select methods to support employment and work ability. The student can guide and coordinate different work ability processes and is able to operate in different networks. The student is able to develop the promotion of employment and work ability on different connecting surfaces.
The course is evaluated as pass/fail. Approved completion requires active participation in teaching and group work and the successful completion of each learning assignment according to the instructions.

The study module is suitable for degree students whose career goal is to work with working-age people and to help them find employment, return to work and continue at work despite various limitations.

Objectives
Purpose of the course
During the course, the student acquires basic competence in guidance work and learns to work as part of cooperation networks for supporting employment and work ability. Learns to identify work ability risks and early care methods. Is able to promote a sustainable rehabilitation/employment solution and return to work.

After completing the course, the student
- Understands the importance of maintaining, assessing and promoting multidisciplinary work ability in their own role and recognise key work ability risks
- Manages approaches that promote participation and agency in setting goals
- Can choose methods for supporting employment and work ability
- Can guide and coordinate different work ability processes
- Is able to work in networks to support the employee, the supervisor and the work community
- Is able to develop the promotion of employment and work ability on different interfaces

The student recognises key work ability risks and understand the significance of maintaining, assessing and promoting work ability. The student is able to select methods to support employment and work ability. The student can guide and coordinate different work ability processes and is able to operate in different networks. The student is able to develop the promotion of employment and work ability on different connecting surfaces.
The course is evaluated as pass/fail. Approved completion requires active participation in teaching and group work and the successful completion of each learning assignment according to the instructions.

The student has completed the study unit The reforming services for employment and work ability 5 credits

The reforming services for employment and work ability (5 cr) and the Comprehensive approach to employment and work ability (5 cr) courses form a study module of a work ability coordinator. The study module is offered in the Open University of Applied Sciences and it is suitable for persons working in occupational health care, social and health care centres, employment services, educational institutions or HR tasks.
The study module is suitable for degree students whose career goal is to work with working-age people and to help them find employment, return to work and continue at work despite various limitations.
The studies are implemented as online studies. Participation in contact learning is essential.
